Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This policy explains what information QRder collects from coffee shop owners who use our platform, and from their customers who place orders through it.
Information We Collect
When you sign up as a shop owner, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text)
- Your shop name and, if provided, shop description, phone number, and address
- Menu items you create, including photos you upload
When a customer scans your QR code and places an order, we collect only what's needed to fulfil that order: the items ordered, table number, and order total. Customers are not required to create an account, and we do not collect their name, email, or phone number unless you've added a field for that yourself.
How We Use Your Information
We use this information to operate your account, display your menu to customers, process and display orders on your kitchen display, and generate your sales reports. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your account and order data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Railway. Menu photos are hosted by Cloudinary. Both are infrastructure providers we use to run QRder; neither has access to your data beyond storing and serving it on our behalf.
Login Sessions
When you log in, we store a login token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. This token is removed when you log out.
Payments
QRder does not process payments directly. Customers pay shop owners through whatever method the shop already accepts (cash, card terminal, e-wallet). We do not store any payment card details.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us using the details below.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
